Past Projects
Over my 28 year career, I have done just about everything. From building basic PC's and configuring entire small business networks - I have also installed entire infrastructure systems for enterprises. I have SAN switch experience and built NAS/SAN solutions from the ground up. Cloud computing solutions are on the rise - I have experience setig up AWS EC2 instances, disaster recovery and archival, configuring cloud storage solutions, and configuring on and off-prem backup solutions. Below is a brief summary of past projects supporting businesses of all size
Desktop Replacement Project
Industry: Finance & Accounting
On this project, I built and configured 12 desktop PC's all with Windows Images configured for a small accounting agency in Newport Beach, CA. All the PC's were imaged identically with productivity and accounting software.
New Factory Build
Industry: Coffee Manfacturing
During this project, a small coffee manufacturer built a new warehouse/factory/office combination. I was tasked with setting up the entire infrastructure for the building. This included, servers, networking, physical cabling installation, and new desktops.
SAN/NAS Replacement
Industry: Education
This project was for a large University where I was tasked with a complete replacement of a SAN/NAS storage solution. This involved the complete architecture, design, installation and migration of existing data. This project also included upgrading the SAN fabric with Cisco MDS switches. Also, developed new security protocols for the Help Desk to follow for enhanced data protection.
Disaster Recovery Project
Industry: Software
This project involved developing an entirely new backup and disaster recovery solution. the solution involved all new backup hardware/software. The two part solution involved backups to a DR data center in a different geographical region as well as a cloud based archival for legal retention.
Tiered Storage Environment
Industry: Media
This project designed and installed a large tiered storage environment for a media production company. It involved high-speed storage for video processing and production, and lower tier storage for media storage once the processing was completed and stored for customer retrieval.
